My arrival in Warsaw <333
Hey guys,
my first week in Warsaw, Poland has been quite exciting. I arrived in Poland on Monday, 16th September of 2024 at Chopin Airport. I was looking forward to this new chapter which was just about to start. We took an Uber to my apartment, which I had booked via Spotahome.
Upon my arrival in Warsaw: The first day
Then, we checked in and then directly left for a city tour to explore Warsaw. My apartment is located in the street Emilii Plater, which is right next to the Palace of culture. The Palace of Culture is one of Warsaws’ most famous sights and was build during the Communism. Right next door there is a Carrefour express, where we directly went to get some Tymbark. Side note: My favourite one is the sparkling Mango-Orange Tymbark, you guys need to definitely try this one. Then, we went for a very long walk and took a picture of the Palace of Culture. Afterwards, we went to the famous mall called “Swoty terassy” and then went on a walk to the old town.

On the first picture above you can see the street “Nowy Swiat”, where many bars and restaurants are located. The old town is very impressive with all its all buildings that got restored after World War II. Also I recommend going to the souvenir shops there, I bought way too many gifts for friends or family. As we got a bit hungry we went to a restaurant called “The Barkakan“. This restaurant has a nice terasse and very good Zurek, Barsz and Pierogi (highly recommend going there). On our way back, my boyfriend took a picture of me in front of the Palace of culture. During the night it is enlightened in different colours which looks so nice.

The next day we went to see my University, the Kozminski University. Afterwards, we went to the University Library with its nice garden on top of the roof next to the river. It is a must do when its sunny.
